THE BRAND

Our Story

Herman Nadal is a Puerto Rican fashion and art atelier based in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Founded by designer and artist Herman Nadal, the brand explores the intersection of fashion, art, and cultural identity.

Each piece is developed with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, storytelling, and the reinterpretation of Caribbean heritage through contemporary design. Garments are produced in limited quantities or as custom orders, allowing every creation to maintain a sense of individuality and intention.

At the core of the brand is a guiding principle: Inspired, Designed, and Created in Puerto Rico.

This statement emphasizes the atelier’s commitment to local design and manufacturing, with garments developed and produced in Puerto Rico.

The Founder

Herman Nadal is a Puerto Rican designer and visual artist whose work moves between fashion and contemporary art.

In addition to designing garments, Nadal creates textile-based artworks where the sewing machine becomes his primary tool — using thread, fabric, and stitching as a painter would use brush and canvas.

For over ten years, he dedicated part of his career to education as a fashion design professor, mentoring and guiding new generations of designers while sharing his technical and conceptual approach to the discipline.

Based in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Nadal is actively engaged with the local artistic and cultural community, contributing to exhibitions, creative programming, and cultural initiatives that celebrate and amplify Puerto Rican identity.

Mission

The mission of Herman Nadal is to celebrate and reinterpret Puerto Rican culture through contemporary design while maintaining a strong commitment to craftsmanship, individuality, and artistic exploration.

Vision

The vision of the brand is to continue expanding the dialogue between fashion, art, and Caribbean identity, positioning the Herman Nadal atelier as a creative platform that produces garments, artworks, and cultural experiences that resonate both locally and internationally.
